Entre sus especialidades culinarias destacan los arroces y pescados como, por ejemplo, su arroz melosos de dorada y gambas o su arroz con pato, trompeta negra y trufa. Entre los pescados destacan su atún de primera calidad a la brasa con parmentier de mazorcas o la lubina frita en adobo. Además, también debemos mencionar su oferta de shushi con toque oriolense, sus entrantes y ensaladas para disfrutar de lo mejor de la huerta y sus carnes perfectamente cocinadas. También disponen de opciones vegetarianas para que todo el mundo pueda disfrutar la experiencia. Un restaurante de 10 para una noche de 10.
Restaurante Casablanca
El Restaurante Casablanca es el lugar donde comer arroz con costra en Orihuela disfrutando de su preparación más típica además de degustar un auténtico caldo con pelotas de la Vega Baja. Pero no termina ahí su oferta ya que, entre sus platos, podemos encontrar mucha presencia del mar y de la huerta.
Entre las recomendaciones del mar encontrarás gambas rojas, calamares a la plancha o a la romana, almejas al vino blanco o una espectacular paella de marisco con todo el sabor de las recetas mediterráneas. Entre sus preparaciones con ingredientes de la huerta las recomendaciones son las alcachofas en escabeche y los pimientos de piquillo rellenos. También muy recomendables sus callos para los amantes de los platos de cuchara.
Bar Restaurante Manolo
Si buscas bares en Orihuela donde tapear y comer bien, no puedes dejar de visitar el Bar Manolo. Entre sus tapas más apreciadas están sus ensaladillas variadas, sus tempuras (de gamba con bacon y calabacín o la tempura negra de bacalao con alioli de aguacate. También hay que destacar sus parrilladas de carne o su entrecot de ternera o creaciones más contemporáneas como sus brochetas de pollo con salsa de mostaza y yogurt. Todo ello servido en un ambiente familiar y acogedor.
Además, todos los días ofrecen un plato de olla tradicional y diferente para que acompañes el tapeo de un plato más contundente y descubras nuevos sabores.
Restaurante Joaquín
Especialistas en la preparación de pescados carnes y arroces desde 1975. El Restaurante Joaquín es el lugar donde podrás disfrutar de la comida casera más típica de la zona de Orihuela y de la Vega Baja. No puedes irte sin probar sus mariscos: gambas, centollos, berberechos, almejas, navajas o mejillones. Es el lugar perfecto para degustar una mariscada además de otras raciones como las alcachofas rebozadas con jamón ibérico, pulpo a la gallega, las ensaladillas y cualquiera de sus platos de cuchara (como sus arroces caldosos o su caldo con pelotas) donde los sabores y la calidad de sus ingredientes son los protagonistas.
Los Monaguillos de Davinia Martínez
En Los Monaguillos de Davinia Martínez encontrarás una cocina de autor tradicional japonesa con un toque mediterráneo. Entre sus platos destacan los sushis de atún, lubina o salmón aderezados con diferentes ingredientes como Pedro Ximénez, alga wakame, jengibre o tobiko, entre otros. Son los más demandados de la carta.
Para los amantes del marisco, ofrecen ostras, berberechos y mejillones con una preparación perfecta que no defraudarán a nadie. Y, para una comida informal, la mejor opción es acompañar diferentes sushis con algunas de sus tapas y raciones. Prueba la marinera, la ensaladilla el Monaguillo, o un variado de ensaladillas para que puedas degustar todas sus creaciones. Además, otras de las tapas que no te puedes perder son las flores de alcachofa con foie y piñones, la tosta de bacalao y jamón ibérico o la milhoja de foie, queso de cabra y manzana caramelizada.
